# 4/15/25 Canaanite Nation, Its gods, And Spiritual Strongholds Mapped To Today’s Cultural, Societal, And Spiritual Battles (Supplement)

## 🔎 **Modern Equivalents of the Canaanite Nations and Their Strongholds**

| **Canaanite Nation** | **Modern Comparison** | **Manifestation in Today’s World** | **Watchman’s Role** |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **Canaanites** (Baal & Asherah) | **Sexual culture, Consumerism, Pornography, Abortion industry** | Baal worship = success obsession & child sacrifice (abortion); Asherah = hyper-sexualized media, identity confusion | Confront idolatry; expose the altar of Baal; restore worship of the One True God |
| **Hittites** (Terror) | **Fear culture, mental illness, pharmaceutical control, media-driven panic** | Weaponized fear: pandemics, shootings, health anxiety, "fear porn" in news | Release peace, boldness, and sound doctrine; teach the fear of the Lord |
| **Amorites** (Molech, pride) | **Celebrity obsession, governmental overreach, transhumanism, elitism** | Pride of humanism, rejection of God, exaltation of man, sacrificing children for “freedom” | Tear down self-exaltation, call for humility, intercede for the unborn |
| **Perizzites** (Lawlessness) | **Anarchy, spiritual confusion, deconstructionism** | No moral boundaries, identity confusion, relativism in schools & media | Rebuild ancient boundaries, teach God’s law with grace, shepherd people into truth |
| **Hivites** (Deception) | **New Age, fake peace, spiritual compromise in churches** | Inclusion without repentance, counterfeit light, mixing of truth and error | Call out false covenants, expose deception with truth and love |
| **Jebusites** (Oppression) | **Systemic oppression, religious pride, marginalization of believers** | Prideful institutions that silence truth, “woke” religion without power | Break oppression, establish justice, stand in cities like David in Jerusalem |
| **Girgashites** (Carnality) | **Materialism, intellectualism, Technology idolatry** | Worship of science, self-help without God, hyper-focus on physical realm | Call people back to the spirit, awaken faith, dethrone idols of reason |

## 🔥 Reflections for Today’s Church and Watchmen

- **Baal worship** today is **corporate success and child sacrifice** (abortion, spiritual neglect of children).
- **Fear gods** control through anxiety, pandemics, and emotional manipulation.
- **Molech** is found in a culture that sacrifices morals, family, and life for convenience or advancement.
- **Lawlessness (Perizzites)** is seen in churches abandoning biblical standards.
- **Hivite deception** shows up in false unity, counterfeit peace, and prophetic manipulation.
- **Oppression (Jebusites)** is in city strongholds—political, educational, and even ecclesiastical.
- **Carnality (Girgashites)** is in the tech obsession, loss of spiritual hunger, and rise of technology aud as AI and quantum computing as savior.

## 🛡️ The Watchman’s Mandate Today

> **“Blow the trumpet… warn the people.”** —Ezekiel 33:6

- **Discern the spiritual roots behind current events**.
- **Expose false gods** and the systems that uphold them.
- **Stand in the gap** with repentance and intercession.
- **Teach truth and guard the gates**—families, communities, and congregations.
- **Prepare people to endure and overcome**.
