3 min read

At New Water, the ministry needs are diverse and vital to fulfilling its mission of equipping believers and serving the community. Each ministry area draws on specific spiritual gifts that empower individuals to operate effectively and joyfully in their assignments. For Children’s Church, gifts such as teaching, exhortation, shepherding, and helps are essential, as they support the instruction of children in biblical truths, encourage their growing faith, nurture their spiritual development, and provide hands-on assistance with lessons and care. The Usher Board relies on the gifts of helps, hospitality, leadership, and discernment to welcome guests, maintain order, sense the spiritual atmosphere, and create a safe, comfortable worship environment. In Security, leadership, discernment, and helps are key to maintaining peace, recognizing potential spiritual threats, and providing practical service in protecting the congregation.

The Music Ministry, involving vocalists and instrumentalists, is enriched by the gifts of prophecy, exhortation, worship, and creativity, enabling leaders to guide the congregation in worship, deliver prophetic songs of praise, and encourage hearts through inspired, creative expression. Housekeeping depends on helps, administration, and hospitality to keep God’s house clean and organized, steward church resources, and create a welcoming, peaceful space for worshippers. The Media Team leverages gifts of knowledge, communication, helps, and wisdom to spread the gospel clearly and compellingly, supporting worship and ministry with technology and sound messaging. In Language Translation, believers apply interpretation, knowledge, evangelism, and helps to break down language barriers, accurately convey biblical truths, and extend the gospel cross-culturally.

Hospitality itself is a vital ministry powered by the gifts of hospitality, helps, mercy, and encouragement, ensuring that every guest feels seen, valued, and cared for in a warm, relational atmosphere. The Dance Ministry draws on prophecy, worship, creativity, and exhortation to use movement as a means of prophetic worship and creative storytelling, encouraging and uplifting the audience through artistic expression. Finally, Outreach activates gifts of evangelism, mercy, apostleship, and helps to boldly spread the gospel, show compassion to the marginalized, pioneer new community efforts, and meet practical needs. Together, these gifts equip New Water to function as a healthy, spirit-filled body, releasing each member to serve God’s people with excellence and love.
