Day 3: Kingdom Authority and Stewardship: Possessing the Land in the Four Corners Region

2 min read

Scriptures: Daniel 2:37; Jeremiah 25:9; Jeremiah 27:5-6

Introduction

The Bible clearly establishes that God is sovereign over nations, leaders, and territories. He appoints rulers and entrusts lands to those He chooses for His divine purposes. As New Water Church seeks to advance in the Four Corners region of Florida, this teaching focuses on understanding God’s delegated authority, stewardship, and the spiritual preparation required to occupy and transform a territory for His Kingdom.

1. God Appoints Authority and Grants Territories

Daniel 2:37 (AMP):

“You, O king, are a king of earthly kings, to whom the God of heaven has given the kingdom, the power, the strength, and the glory.”

  • God gave Nebuchadnezzar authority and dominion, even though he was a pagan king.
  • Authority over a region is ultimately granted by God, not man.
  • The assignment to steward a territory is not based on human qualifications but on divine appointment for a purpose.

Application for New Water Church:

  • Recognize the church’s position as a vessel of God’s authority in the Four Corners area.
  • Embrace the assignment to advance God’s purposes in the land with boldness and humility.

2. God Uses Unlikely Instruments to Fulfill His Purpose

Jeremiah 25:9 (AMP):

“Behold, I will send for all the tribes of the north, says the Lord, and [I will send] Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant…”

  • Even a foreign king, Nebuchadnezzar, is referred to as God’s “servant” because he was used to accomplish God’s will.
    • God can and will use unexpected people, partnerships, and resources to accomplish His plans for a territory.

Application for New Water Church:

    •    Stay open to divine strategies, even when they challenge traditional mindsets.

    •    Be prepared to partner with unlikely allies and resources God places in the church’s path to fulfill its mission.

3. God Grants Land and Entrusts It to Stewards

Jeremiah 27:5-6 (AMP):

“I have made the earth, the men and the beasts that are on the face of the earth by My great power and by My outstretched arm; and I have given it to whom it seemed right and suitable to Me. And now I have given all these lands to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, My servant…”

  • God owns all creation and delegates stewardship to whomever He wills.
    • Receiving a land requires responsibility to manage, cultivate, and protect it for His purposes.

Application for New Water Church:

  • Understand that taking spiritual and physical ground requires prayer, fasting, and strategic planning.
    • Stewardship demands preparation for growth, discipleship structures, and community impact.
    • Build according to God’s blueprint to sustain the movement of New Waters spiritually and naturally.

4. What Will It Require?

  • Spiritual Authority: Develop a strong prayer covering and prophetic insight to discern spiritual atmospheres.
    • Unity and Alignment: Maintain alignment with God’s Word, leadership vision, and collective faith.
    • Obedience and Boldness: Be prepared to move when God says, even if circumstances seem unfavorable.
    • Practical Preparation: Establish systems for discipleship, outreach, and resource management to sustain growth.
    • Spiritual Warfare: Guard the gates of the territory through intercession and worship to resist opposition.

Closing Challenge:

New Water Church is positioned to be a vessel through which God releases fresh streams of revival and transformation in the Four Corners region. Like Nebuchadnezzar, who was entrusted with authority for a divine season, the church must step boldly into this assignment, recognizing that God has already given the land and the grace to occupy it.

Decree Over the Territory:

“Lord, You have made this earth and all that is in it. By Your authority, we declare that New Water Church will steward this land for Your Kingdom purposes. Let the waters of revival flow and may the gates of this region be lifted to welcome the King of Glory (Psalm 24:7). We dedicate this territory to You and commit to steward it with wisdom, obedience, and faithfulness. Amen.”
